Clinical Whispers: Client Immersion
This is a powerful week of connecting layers of information and deepening observation skills and intuition.

In an ordinary suburban backyard in Portland, Maine, our days will be gathered under a magical maple tree next to the herb garden or inside the teaching yurt, and we'll kindly and respectfully hold space for our clients.
After sessions, we'll discuss our case and then walk into the Apothecary to prepare tinctures and teas.
We'll cover assessment skills in the mornings and have plenty of practice time (knowing this is truly a practice and confidence builds with time) and everyone will have the opportunity to prepare teas and tinctures for our clients, and be a part of the consultation process.
The Apothecary is primarily composed of western herbs, with several Chinese and Ayurvedic herbs included.
Mornings: 9am - noon
MONDAY: overview of tongue, pulse, nail, and face assessment, OPQRST, formulation, clinic + apothecary considerations
TUESDAY: deep dive into pulse + plant practice, listening + memory explorations
WEDNESDAY: pulses again + formulation + ethics
THURSDAY: more pulses + noticing the edges of growth
FRIDAY: more pulses + integration
Noon:
we pause for our lunch break, during which time everyone's invited to take a walk or sit in the garden and rest
Afternoon:
1:30pm: case study OR client time, with discussion and formulation in the Apothecary
