Week-long Beginner Herbal Apprenticeship: July 2022
Imagine the joy of warm sun on your face, the sound of laughter, the most exquisite scents filling the air!
WELCOME TO SUMMER APPRENTICESHIP!
A MAGICAL, FUN-FILLED week of plant medicine and friendships, with Spirit woven through all we experience!
Sunday, July 17 - Saturday, July 23, 9am - 8:15pm, Portland, supper included
Mornings:
9am - herb walk touching, smelling, and tasting the plants related to the body system we're covering that day
10:15ish - we move into more detailed exploration of how we might combine and prepare particular herbs and plants for supporting the day's body system
Noon:
we pause until 2pm for our lunch break, during which time everyone's invited to take a walk or sit in the garden and rest
Afternoon:
2pm - we prepare medicines from the garden - making tinctures, teas, syrups, oils, and salves depending on the plants that are ready to be harvested
Evening:
5:30pm - shared vegetarian supper with our special guest teacher for the evening
6:30pm - this summer's guest teachers are Allie Armstrong, Kathleen Parker, and Emily Springer (more details about how awesome they are and what classes they'll be sharing is coming soon!)
SUNDAY (begins at 2pm): Six tastes and tonic herbs
MONDAY: digestive herbs
TUESDAY: nervine herbs
WEDNESDAY: respiratory herbs
THURSDAY: circulatory herbs
FRIDAY: reproductive herbs
SATURDAY (ends at noon): tying everything together
You are so welcome to join circle!
Our circle will fill at 9 people and folks ages 12 - 78 have expressed having tremendous fun in a multi-generational space!
The energy exchange for the week is $1500. Early bird price of $1300 until April 15.
