Intermediate Herbal Apprenticeship, Feb - June 2019
My hope is for you to complete these months feeling that you are confident supporting the ins and outs of particular acute and chronic issues and that you have the clinical understanding of the physiology/pathophysiology of the issues and the plants that would be specific to the concern(s) in question, and perhaps even more so, that you trust your intuition and relationship with the plants. (It's this last piece around intuition and relationship that I've been particularly sitting with over the last year - as this is so very personal and comes, in part, with time.)
There are some skills that I feel are very important to explore (pulse, tongue and face assessment, clinical intake, formulation, ethics) during this time - and a few specific topics I'd like to cover - and there is spaciousness to explore topics that are specific to students' interests.
I want you to trust yourselves, and a piece of this work is personal Hollow Bone work. Taking care of our own challenges is a part of supporting others. It won't be a primary focus of our time in circle together, though I don't want this to be overlooked.
There will be approximately six hours of "Home Exploration" each month - research, protocol development, assessment tools practice, and personal reflection.
It is going to be marvelous.
We'll gather six Wednesdays from February to June, 2019, 9:00am - 3:30pm February 20, March 13, April 17, May 8, May 29, June 12 Hosted in a yurt in Portland, Maine, located along the #4 bus route
The cost is $720 for the series. We'll hold circle for six to nine participants. Our class will be very much alive with who we each are. Please contact Mischa with your interest: firstname.lastname@example.org
