June 23 (Friday) 9:00am – 3:30pm (rain date Fri, June 30), East End Cemetery ($90)
During this one day workshop held through MECA’s Continuing Studies Program, students will study plants through observation, drawing and meditation. We will travel to the East End Cemetery, where students will allow themselves to be led to a plant through intuition to develop a relationship through observation. Students will explore drawing physical form and energetic form with support of a plant meditation. Throughout the day as this dynamic relationship is unfolding, students will be creating a liquid form flower essence to take home. Meet at Otto's Pizza at the base of Munjoy Hill to walk over to the cemetery together. http://cs.meca.edu/cdr-022-s1-plants-a-drawing-adventure/

Herbal Assessment Series
My friend and herbal colleague Katie Munn and I are offering a 10 month series intended for those who want to build the assessment skills required for Clinical Work. The series will run for 10 months starting September 15th.
Each Class we will overview a system of the body and the herbs use to assist with acute and chronic conditions. We will go over the pathophysiology and common afflictions in the human body. We will then look at herbal energetics, specific case studies, formulation and distinguishing characteristics of disharmony within the body
Note* Each class will be very interactive so an in-depth knowledge of the herbs and their actions and energetics is required.
The intention of the series is to support you in gaining the skills and confidence to go into a clinical program prepared to start seeing clients.
